About the Author
.Alison Stein has made more than her fair share of poor decisions in life. When she wasn't causing herself a problem, she was usually busy recovering from one! Throughout the years, Alison has learned how many of the problems she experienced could have been avoided. By creating a layperson's guide to decision making, she hopes that others can learn from her mistakes how to avoid many problems without having to go through the pitfalls themselves.
Alison was born and raised on Long Island, New York. When she was a teenager, she moved with her parents and siblings to Houston, Texas finishing high school there. In her early 20s, Alison lived in Mexico City, Mexico for six months where she learned Spanish. Though she was a licenced beautician at one time, Alison spent the majority of her adult years working as a debt collector.
Alison was divorced by the time she was 19 years old. She continued making poor decisions as she went on to earn what she calls "the equivalent of a Masters Degree from 'The School of Hard Knocks.'" She remarried at 33 and currently lives in a suburb on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and their two sons and is a full-time mom.
